Accessories for the Ducati Monster 1100

The Ducati Monster 1100 is a naked bike suited to winding roads as well as everyday trips through town. That mix of riding makes wind exposure, your riding position and protection during low-speed manoeuvres useful starting points when choosing accessories. A Monster used for a short commute has different priorities from one regularly taken out for a full day on country roads.

What riders usually fit to the Ducati Monster 1100

• Screens: a screen helps redirect some of the airflow away from your torso, making it worth considering if your favourite roads involve a motorway run first. On a naked bike such as the Monster, wind management becomes more relevant as journeys get longer.
• Protectors: parking in town and moving the bike in confined spaces put the focus on low-speed mishaps. With parts of this naked bike left exposed, protectors are intended to help limit damage to the areas they cover in a scrape or fall.
• Levers: the way your fingers meet the controls matters in stop-start traffic and when braking for bends. Replacement levers are worth considering when refining the hand controls, particularly if your daily route through town involves frequent clutch use rather than long stretches of open road.
• Handlebars and footrests: these contact points shape where your hands sit, how your feet are supported and the bend in your knees. Considering them together makes sense on a Monster that needs to feel comfortable around town without making longer weekend rides an afterthought.
• Number plate holders: these are an option when your aim is to change the appearance of the rear end rather than wind protection or ergonomics. On the Monster’s pared-back naked silhouette, the way the plate sits can be a noticeable part of the overall finish.
