Accessories for the Ducati Monster 1100 EVO

The Ducati Monster 1100 EVO is a naked bike suited to winding-road outings as well as everyday journeys. Those uses call for different priorities: frequent urban riding puts the focus on controls and protection against minor mishaps, while longer days bring wind exposure and riding position into play. The most useful additions depend on how much of your time is spent commuting, exploring back roads or covering longer distances.

What riders usually fit to the Ducati Monster 1100 EVO

• Screens: worth considering when a favourite stretch of bends involves a motorway journey to get there. A screen helps deflect some airflow away from your torso, addressing one of the practical compromises of longer rides on a naked bike without turning the Monster into a tourer.
• Protectors: particularly relevant to a daily-used Monster that regularly needs parking or manoeuvring in tight spaces. They are intended to help limit damage to the areas they cover during minor knocks or falls, rather than prevent every possible consequence.
• Levers and handlebars: these shape how your hands meet the controls. Repeated braking and clutch use in town make reach and wrist position worth attention, while a comfortable relationship with the bars also matters during an afternoon on twisting roads.
• Footpegs: your feet provide another important contact point when riding bends. They are worth considering as part of changes to your riding position, especially if the Monster handles both short local runs and longer days away.
• Number plate holders: a way to refine the rear-end appearance, which stands out on a naked bike. They suit a styling-focused approach that keeps the Monster's outline uncluttered rather than adding touring accessories.

For predominantly urban use, protection and controls are sensible starting points. With more open-road miles, wind management and your contact points with the bike deserve greater attention.
