Accessories for the Ducati Monster 1200 R

The Ducati Monster 1200 R is a sports-focused naked bike suited to winding roads as well as everyday riding. Those settings bring different priorities: comfort at the controls matters in traffic, while longer outings put more emphasis on wind protection and riding position. Choosing accessories around the riding you actually do helps retain the Monster's stripped-back appeal while making it more comfortable to live with.

What riders usually fit to the Ducati Monster 1200 R

• Screens: worth considering when a day on twisty roads involves motorway miles getting there. On a naked bike, a screen can redirect some airflow away from your upper body, with its shape and height influencing the balance between shelter and appearance.
• Protectors: useful for a Monster that sees busy parking spaces during the week and open roads at weekends. They help shield the areas they cover from scuffs or impacts, making protection a practical part of the setup rather than focusing solely on looks.
• Handlebars and levers: these are central to how you sit and reach the controls. Everyday traffic makes hand and arm comfort particularly relevant, while a natural riding position also matters when you spend an afternoon linking bends on country roads.
• Footrests: your feet need a comfortable support position for both sporty riding and longer days out. Footrest shape and placement are worth considering alongside the handlebars, since both contribute to how you position yourself on the Monster.
• Number plate holders: an option for changing the rear-end appearance rather than concentrating every visual update around the bars. They suit an owner who wants to personalise the look of this sporty naked without making touring equipment the focus.

For mixed daily and weekend use, start with comfort at the controls and protection. If reaching your favourite roads means longer motorway stretches, a screen may deserve attention before cosmetic changes.
