Accessories for the Ducati Monster 797

The Ducati Monster 797 is a naked bike suited to weekday journeys through town and weekend rides on winding roads. Those uses call for slightly different priorities: comfortable controls in traffic, protection for everyday riding and some relief from the wind on longer runs. Useful additions need not mean changing the whole character of the bike.

What riders usually fit to the Ducati Monster 797

• Screens: wind exposure is part of riding a naked bike like the Monster 797. A screen helps deflect some of that airflow, making it a useful addition when your favourite bends are reached by a longer stretch of open road.
• Protectors: daily use brings regular parking and low-speed manoeuvring, so protection is worth considering for a Monster used around town. These accessories help limit damage to the areas they cover if the bike falls, putting practicality ahead of cosmetic changes.
• Handlebars and levers: the relationship between your hands and the controls matters when switching between busy streets and winding roads. Changes here let you tailor your riding position and control operation, particularly relevant on journeys with repeated braking and gear changes.
• Footrests: your feet provide another important contact point with the Monster. For weekend road rides, foot support and riding position deserve attention together: a setup that feels right through a few corners also needs to remain comfortable further into the journey.
• Number plate holders: these focus on the appearance of the rear end rather than wind protection or riding comfort. For a Monster 797 used on short city trips and weekend outings, they offer a way to change its look without making luggage or weather protection the priority.

For a town-focused setup, concentrate first on the controls and protection. When longer road rides become more frequent, give the screen and your riding position greater attention.
