Accessories for the Ducati Monster S2R

The Ducati Monster S2R is a naked bike for city journeys and weekends on winding roads. That mix of riding makes your position on the bike, your view of following traffic and protection useful starting points when choosing accessories. Rather than changing its character, you can focus on making everyday journeys more comfortable or setting it up for longer outings on your favourite back roads.

What riders usually fit to the Ducati Monster S2R

• Handlebars: bar position shapes your reach to the controls and the way your arms and back settle on the bike. For a Monster S2R used around town and on twisty roads, a comfortable reach matters during both low-speed manoeuvres and longer stretches in the saddle.
• Protectors: a practical addition to a naked bike that regularly deals with urban parking and tight manoeuvres. They can help limit damage in a low-speed fall, making protection worth considering when your Monster is part of the daily routine rather than an occasional weekend ride.
• Mirrors: useful for keeping track of following traffic through city lane changes and out on open roads. On the Monster, their position in relation to the bars and your arms deserves attention: a view dominated by your elbows does little to help you see behind.
• Suspension: worth considering when winding secondary roads make up most of your Monster S2R riding. Uneven surfaces put the emphasis on how the bike responds through bends, while comfort becomes more important as the miles build up. Your usual load also matters when planning suspension changes.

For town use, start with riding position, rearward visibility and protection. If weekends on back roads dominate, give suspension a place among those priorities too.
