Accessories for the Ducati Streetfighter 848

The Ducati Streetfighter 848 suits riders who want a sporty naked for winding roads without ruling out everyday journeys. That mix of uses shapes the accessories worth fitting: frequent clutch use matters in town, wind exposure becomes more noticeable on longer road sections, and your riding position takes priority when the route gets twisty. How you spend your miles is a useful starting point before making cosmetic changes.

What riders usually fit to the Ducati Streetfighter 848

• Screens: worth considering when a favourite stretch of bends involves a motorway run to get there. On a naked such as the Streetfighter 848, a screen helps deflect some of the airflow reaching your body rather than turning the bike into a touring machine.
• Protectors: help limit damage to the areas they cover during a drop or scrape. They make particular sense on a Streetfighter used for commuting, where parking, tight turns and low-speed manoeuvres are regular parts of the ride.
• Levers: a shape that suits your hands can make operating the clutch and brake more comfortable. That is relevant both to repeated clutch work in stop-start traffic and to keeping a comfortable grip on the bars during a winding-road ride.
• Footrests: your feet provide important support when moving around on a sporty naked. For the Streetfighter 848, it is worth balancing a riding position that suits bends with one you can comfortably maintain on the quieter stretches between them.
• Tail tidies: suit an approach focused on the Streetfighter 848's sporty appearance, giving the number plate area a less cluttered look. Consider the indicators and plate lighting as part of the same arrangement, keeping the registration plate clearly visible.

When refining your riding position, treat the handlebar, levers and footrests as a system. Your hand and foot positions should work together, rather than making you adapt awkwardly to one changed component.
