Accessories for the GasGas EX250

The GasGas EX250 is a bike for riding away from tarmac, where the ground beneath you shapes what is worth fitting. Luggage and wind protection are less relevant here than the parts exposed during a ride and the controls you use again and again. On a route that calls for frequent changes of direction or pace, small details around those contact points can make a practical difference to how you ride.

What riders usually fit to the GasGas EX250

For this bike, protection and control are the main priorities. They address different moments in a ride: one concerns contact with the terrain, while the other is about what you feel through your hands as you work the bike through it.

• Protectors: a useful consideration when the EX250 is ridden on trails, where branches, stones or a low-speed fall can reach exposed areas. They help shield the parts they cover from that sort of contact. Think about where your own rides take you: narrow tracks and uneven ground put different demands on a bike from a smooth, open route.
• Levers: your fingers return to the brake and clutch controls throughout an off-road ride. On tight turns or changing gradients, how the levers sit within reach and feel when operated matters. They are also among the exposed parts to think about if the bike goes down, so they deserve attention for more than their appearance.

Consider what happens most often on your rides with the EX250: contact with the surroundings or repeated use of the controls. That gives you a practical starting point for choosing between protection and levers.
