Accessories for the GasGas MC 65

The GasGas MC 65 is a motocross bike for young riders. On a dirt track, braking for corners, riding over ruts and tackling jumps all make demands on the bike. That is why brakes and suspension are the most relevant areas to consider here: they shape the feedback a rider gets while learning to carry speed and stay in control.

These two areas come into play at different moments of a lap. Braking is part of setting up for a corner, particularly when one turn follows another with little space in between. Suspension matters when the ground becomes uneven or the rider approaches a jump and its landing. Paying attention to both can help make a practice session more focused, rather than treating every section of the track in the same way.

What riders usually fit to the GasGas MC 65

• Brakes: on the MC 65, predictable braking helps a young rider judge the approach to a bend and begin turning with confidence. This category includes Braking accessories for the bike, making it a useful place to look when braking feel is the priority.
• Suspension: ruts, bumps and jump landings can make the bike feel very different from one part of the track to the next. Suspension accessories, including options from Öhlins, are relevant when the aim is to work on how the MC 65 responds across those changing surfaces.

For the 2021 MC 65, it is worth thinking about which parts of the track challenge the rider most. A corner approached under braking points towards one area; a rough section or landing points towards the other. That gives these accessories a clear purpose in the way the bike is actually ridden.
