Accessories for the Gilera Fuoco 500

The Gilera Fuoco 500 is a three-wheeled scooter suited to urban journeys as well as rides out on the road. What you fit depends on how those journeys divide up: frequent stops make security and protection while parked worth considering, whereas longer rides bring wind exposure to the fore. If you use your Fuoco 500 throughout the week and still take it beyond town, it makes sense to think about both situations rather than treating every accessory as an addition for the same purpose.

What riders usually fit to the Gilera Fuoco 500

• Covers and leg covers: a leg cover is worth considering when your regular journeys continue through colder months. A scooter cover serves a different purpose when the Fuoco 500 is parked outdoors between rides. Tucano Urbano is among the brands available for this area of use.
• Security devices: a scooter used for errands or commuting may be left parked several times in a day. A security device from a brand such as Artago addresses those stops, when the Fuoco 500 is out of sight rather than in use.
• Screens: on an open road or a sustained ride at higher speeds, a screen helps divert airflow away from your upper body. That makes it particularly relevant if your journeys involve more than short hops across town.
• Handlebar accessories: your hands stay on the bars through traffic lights, turns and parking manoeuvres. If much of your riding takes place in town, accessories for this area focus attention on a part of the scooter you use throughout every journey.
• Exhausts: changing the exhaust is one way to alter the Fuoco 500’s sound and appearance. It is a different sort of choice from fitting a cover for cold commutes or a screen for a longer road ride.

A daily ride with frequent outdoor parking calls for a different mix of accessories from a weekend route on faster roads. Think about which of those journeys you make most often when deciding what deserves space on your scooter.
