Accessories for the Gilera GP 800

The Gilera GP 800 is a maxi-scooter suited to both everyday journeys and rides beyond town. Those different settings make different demands of its accessories. Frequent stops put security in focus, while longer stretches of road draw your attention to riding position and suspension. You can also find parts for keeping your GP 800 maintained as the miles add up.

What riders usually fit to the Gilera GP 800

Think about where your scooter spends its time: parked between short trips, carrying you through traffic or covering longer distances. That gives you a useful starting point for the accessory types available here.

• Security locks: worth considering if your GP 800 is parked outside while you work or run errands. Artago and Urban are among the brands available. For frequent stops, a lock you can take with you as part of your routine is particularly relevant.
• Handlebar accessories: relevant when you switch between navigating town and settling in for a longer ride. On a maxi-scooter, where your hands sit helps shape your riding position, especially when you spend more than a short commute in the saddle.
• Suspension: something to look at if your GP 800 regularly sees open roads or carries a passenger. Öhlins is among the brands listed for this scooter; how you use it day to day is a sensible guide when considering a suspension part.
• Filters: part of maintaining a GP 800 used for commuting, road trips or a mix of both. Sprint Filter is one of the brands available if a filter is on your maintenance list.

For a scooter that spends much of the day parked between journeys, security may be the first priority. If your trips tend to be longer, the handlebar and suspension options may be more relevant to how you ride.
