Accessories for the Gilera Nexus 300

The Gilera Nexus 300 is a scooter suited to everyday journeys as well as rides out on the road. That mix shapes what is worth fitting: leaving it parked during a busy day raises different questions from riding in colder weather or spending more time beyond town. The most useful additions depend on which of those situations feels familiar to you.

What riders usually fit to the Gilera Nexus 300

For a scooter used on both city streets and more open roads, accessories can serve quite different purposes. The following types are available for the Nexus 300; each is worth considering in the context of how you actually use it:

• Security locks: these make particular sense if your Nexus 300 takes you to work or on errands, with stops in several places throughout the day. Making a lock part of your parking routine means those quick visits need not be treated differently from longer stops.
• Handlebar accessories: the handlebar area is in front of you on every journey. If you ride your scooter regularly, this is one place to focus on the details of your riding position and the area around the controls, whether most of your miles are through traffic or out on the road.
• Exhausts: an option for riders who take an interest in their Nexus 300’s sound and appearance. It may be especially appealing if your rides include time on open roads, though an exhaust should not be chosen on the assumption that it will deliver a particular performance gain.
• Covers and leg covers: worth a look when the scooter is part of your routine in colder months or spends time parked. Whether you are thinking about riding conditions or where you leave it, start with the situation you need an accessory to address.

A Nexus 300 used for frequent stops around town may call for a different first addition from one that regularly heads out on longer rides. Let that everyday pattern guide where you start.
