Accessories for the Harley-Davidson Dyna Low Rider FXDL

The Harley-Davidson Dyna Low Rider FXDL is a cruiser suited to unhurried rides, whether you are heading out for an afternoon or spending longer on the road. The accessories you fit can make a difference to your riding position, the way the bike feels over a journey and your peace of mind when manoeuvring. Protection, suspension and the controls are useful places to focus.

What riders usually fit to the Harley-Davidson Dyna Low Rider FXDL

• Protectors: these help look after exposed areas of the bike while keeping its appearance in mind. On a Low Rider used for both rides out and trips through town, parking and tight spaces are worth thinking about.
• Crash protection and bars: these can help reduce contact between certain parts of the bike and the ground in a low-speed fall. They are particularly relevant if your FXDL sees regular use and you often manoeuvre it around parked vehicles or in a garage.
• Suspension: this is worth considering if you want the bike's response to suit the journeys you actually make. An afternoon ride and a full day on the road ask different things of a motorcycle, especially when you carry a passenger. Öhlins is among the accessory brands listed for this model.
• Handlebars: changing where your hands rest can affect your riding position over a long day. On the Dyna Low Rider FXDL, think about how far you tend to ride and whether your usual position remains comfortable after several hours.
• Mirrors: these matter for the view behind you from your normal riding position, and they contribute to the cruiser's outline. They deserve another look if you alter the handlebars or the way you sit on the bike.

A good starting point is what you notice most on your own rides: low-speed manoeuvres, comfort after a few hours or the bike's response on familiar roads. Each points towards a different type of accessory.
