Accessories for the Harley-Davidson Dyna Street Bob FXDB-I

The Dyna Street Bob FXDB-I is a cruiser suited to relaxed road rides as well as everyday journeys. Choosing accessories for it is about separating changes to its appearance from changes you will feel on the move. If your usual ride stretches beyond a quick trip across town, wind protection, suspension and your riding position are sensible places to start.

What riders usually fit to the Harley-Davidson Dyna Street Bob FXDB-I

• Screens: help take some of the wind pressure off your upper body on open roads. For a Street Bob used on longer outings, a screen offers a way to balance wind protection with the uncluttered appearance that suits a cruiser.
• Suspension: is worth attention when your favourite routes include uneven surfaces or you spend long days riding. It gives you scope to tailor the bike's response to your weight and the roads you use, rather than concentrating solely on styling changes.
• Crash bars and protectors: can help limit damage if the bike tips over while stationary or at low speed. They make particular sense for urban use, where parking the Street Bob and manoeuvring in confined spaces are regular parts of a journey.
• Handlebars: influence the reach to the grips and where your hands sit. On a cruiser used for leisurely afternoons on the road, getting that position right matters more than judging the shape of a bar by appearance alone.
• Mirrors: can change the bike's outline while serving an everyday purpose in traffic. If you alternate between town streets and country roads, a useful rearward view should remain the priority, without having to shift awkwardly each time you check behind.

Accessory brands for this model include Puig, Öhlins, Rizoma and Ironhead. For longer rides, focus first on wind exposure and how comfortably you sit on the bike, then consider the finishing touches.
