Accessories for the Harley-Davidson Dyna Super Glide Sport FXDX

The Harley-Davidson Dyna Super Glide Sport FXDX is a custom motorcycle suited to road rides, whether you are heading out for an afternoon or spending longer in the saddle. What you fit depends on how those rides look in practice. Protecting exposed areas, looking after the bike’s finish and making it easier to leave securely parked are different priorities, and each calls for a different sort of accessory.

What riders usually fit to the Harley-Davidson Dyna Super Glide Sport FXDX

Protection accounts for much of the choice for this model, alongside parts that support the bike when stopped and components around the wheels. It is worth thinking about what each type does during your usual rides:

• Protectors: these help look after particular areas of the FXDX against rubbing and minor marks from regular use. They are relevant if your bike sees frequent road miles and you want to take care of its exposed surfaces.
• Crash protection and guards: these provide another way to protect the bike against a minor knock or a stationary tip-over. They are especially useful to consider when parking and manoeuvring your custom at low speed, rather than protecting against everyday surface wear.
• Stands and side stands: these concern how the motorcycle is supported at the end of a ride or while you attend to it at home. For a bike you ride regularly, that makes them part of the practical routine between outings.
• Mudguards: these sit where spray thrown up by a wheel matters most. They are worth considering if your road rides do not always take place on completely dry tarmac.

Start with the situations you encounter most often rather than adding parts for their own sake. Puig is among the accessory brands available for this Dyna.
