Accessories for HARLEY DAVIDSON FLHR Road King

Accessories for the Harley-Davidson FLHR Road King

The Harley-Davidson FLHR Road King is a touring motorcycle made for unhurried road riding as well as longer journeys. Time in the saddle, your riding position and the occasional trip with a pillion all shape what is worth fitting. Rather than focusing only on how an accessory looks when the bike is parked, it helps to think about the hours you spend riding and the routes you take most often.

What riders usually fit to the Harley-Davidson FLHR Road King

For a bike used to cover ground at a comfortable pace, small decisions about riding position and day-to-day protection can matter. These accessory types are available for the FLHR Road King:

• Suspension: worth considering if your rides range from solo outings to longer days with a pillion. How the bike feels over a full journey matters on a tourer; Öhlins is one of the accessory brands represented here.
• Handlebars: where your hands rest affects your shoulders and back over a long stretch of road. This is a particularly personal part of the riding position when you spend whole days travelling on the Road King.
• Covers and blankets: a cover is useful to think about if the bike is parked between trips. Blankets may also be relevant if you ride through colder weather and want to pay more attention to keeping warm.
• Exhausts: the sound of a Harley-Davidson is part of the experience for many riders. An exhaust is an option to explore with that riding experience in mind, without assuming any particular change in performance.

The right focus depends on whether your Road King is mainly for shorter rides or full days away with a passenger. Thinking about those journeys makes it easier to decide which part of the bike deserves attention first.
