Accessories for the Harley-Davidson Night Rod VRSCD

The Harley-Davidson Night Rod VRSCD is a custom bike suited to unhurried road rides as well as trips through town. On this sort of motorcycle, the way you sit and the feel of a ride matter just as much as the look of the bike. That makes it worth thinking about what you want to change before choosing an accessory. You might want a different position at the bars for longer outings, a different feel over uneven roads, or details that suit the bike's distinctive silhouette. For the 2006 to 2008 Night Rod VRSCD, the accessories here focus on those parts of the riding experience.

What riders usually fit to the Harley-Davidson Night Rod VRSCD

There are three useful areas to consider for this model. They do different jobs, so the right starting point depends on where and how you ride:

• Suspension: worth considering if your journeys mix uneven town streets with open-road riding. On the Night Rod VRSCD, changes here are about finding the feel you want as the bike moves over bumps and through bends. Think about the roads you use most rather than treating a suspension change as a styling decision.
• Handlebars: your position matters on a custom, particularly when a short ride turns into a longer one. Different bars can help you explore a position for your arms and back that suits the way you spend time on the bike. They also affect its appearance from the front, so this is both a riding and a visual choice.
• Mirrors: town riding calls for a clear view of traffic around you, while on the road you want to keep track of what is behind without taking your attention away for long. Mirrors are also a noticeable part of the Night Rod VRSCD's outline, making them a natural place to refine its look while keeping their everyday purpose in mind.

If riding position is your main concern, start with the bars; if you are more interested in how the bike feels on your usual roads, look at suspension. Mirrors offer another way to shape the bike without losing sight of practical use.
