Accessories for the Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special FLTRXS

Long days on the road suit the Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special FLTRXS, a touring motorcycle with custom-bike character. Whether you ride alone or take a pillion and luggage, that use gives you a sensible starting point for accessories: comfort over distance, wind protection and practical support when the riding day ends.

What riders usually fit to the Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special FLTRXS

• Suspension: Rough surfaces and repeated bumps become more noticeable over a full day's riding. For a Road Glide Special used both solo and with a pillion, consider your usual load when choosing suspension parts rather than basing the decision solely on short, unladen rides.
• Screens: Sustained motorway stretches make airflow around the rider an important part of touring comfort. Your height and riding position help guide the choice of screen for this bike, particularly when you spend several hours on open roads.
• Protectors: These are intended to help limit damage to the areas they cover during minor contact or a stationary fall. On a touring bike, they are worth considering for the slow manoeuvres that come with parking at overnight stops or busy roadside facilities.
• Stands: Fuel breaks, lunch stops and overnight parking are all part of a touring trip. Stands and associated parts support the motorcycle when parked, making them a practical consideration for a Road Glide Special regularly ridden with luggage.
