Accessories for the Harley-Davidson Road Glide Ultra FLTRU

Long days on the road are central to the Harley-Davidson Road Glide Ultra FLTRU’s touring role. Whether you ride alone or take a pillion and luggage, that use puts ride comfort and wind protection high on the list. Suspension and screens are sensible starting points, with protection and parking support addressing the practical side of travelling rather than simply changing the bike’s appearance.

What riders usually fit to the Harley-Davidson Road Glide Ultra FLTRU

• Suspension: Particularly relevant when your riding varies between solo outings and loaded trips with a pillion. Those uses place different demands on support and comfort, so suspension choices for the Road Glide Ultra should reflect how you normally tour, rather than an occasional short ride.
• Screens: Help manage airflow on motorway stretches and longer road journeys. For this touring bike, the useful balance is between wind protection and a clear view from your normal riding position; choosing the tallest screen is not automatically the answer.
• Protection: Protectors help limit damage to the areas they cover in a fall. On a Road Glide Ultra used for touring, their role extends beyond the open road to the low-speed manoeuvres and parking stops that come with travelling with luggage.
• Stands: Address how the motorcycle is supported when parked. For touring use, that means thinking about the stops as well as the miles: roadside breaks and overnight parking are regular parts of a journey, not just details at either end.

Road Glide Ultra FLTRU versions and model years

The bike has changed over the years, and the 1990-2015, 2016-2019 and 2020-2022 versions do not all take the same parts. Screens, protectors and stands are examples of accessories that are not interchangeable across every version. This page covers accessories for 2016-2019: choose your bike’s year to display only the parts that fit yours.
