Accessories for the Harley-Davidson Softail Custom FXSTC

The Harley-Davidson Softail Custom FXSTC is a custom cruiser suited to unhurried road rides, whether that means a weekend outing or a familiar journey through town. The most useful additions depend on what those rides involve. Parking and slow-speed manoeuvres put different demands on a bike from miles on a damp road, so it makes sense to focus on the jobs you want an accessory to do. For the 2007 to 2010 model years, the options here cover protection, support when parked and splash control.

What riders usually fit to the Harley-Davidson Softail Custom FXSTC

• Protectors: offer a way to look after exposed areas during parking manoeuvres and other low-speed situations. That can matter on a cruiser used for relaxed rides with stops along the way, as well as for shorter trips in town. Consider which areas you want to protect, rather than adding parts simply because they are available.
• Stands and side stands: are worth considering if the bike is parked regularly or you want it supported for routine care. A stop during a ride and parking it at home are different situations: the space around the bike and the way you normally leave it can make one support option more useful to you than another.
• Mudguards: help reduce the spray reaching the bike from a wet or dirty road. They are also a visible part of the Softail Custom FXSTC, so they affect its overall appearance as well as serving a practical purpose. If your rides are not limited to dry days, both points are worth weighing up.

These accessories address different parts of owning and riding the bike, from setting off and stopping to the condition of the road. Choose the areas that matter most on your usual journeys.
