Accessories for the Harley-Davidson Softail CVO Convertible FLSTSE

The Harley-Davidson Softail CVO Convertible FLSTSE is a custom motorcycle that suits unhurried road riding, from a weekend outing to a longer trip. That kind of use brings more than miles in the saddle: there are stops along the way, parking at the destination and the ordinary handling that comes with regular rides. Protecting the bike and thinking about how it rests when parked are therefore worthwhile starting points when choosing accessories.

What riders usually fit to the Harley-Davidson Softail CVO Convertible FLSTSE

For this model from 2010 to 2012, the accessory choices centre on protection and support rather than a long list of additions.

• Protectors: they are relevant to a bike that may spend a day on open roads but also needs to be manoeuvred into parking spaces and through stops along the route. They help shield the areas they cover from scuffs and minor knocks. If your rides mix longer stretches with frequent breaks, those stationary moments are as much a part of the bike’s use as the journey itself.
• Stands and side-stand accessories: these are worth considering when the FLSTSE is parked at different points during a ride or left standing between outings. Think about where you normally stop and what kind of support you need there. Some supports may also be useful while carrying out the care tasks they are designed to allow, so the purpose of the individual item matters.

Neither choice depends on turning this Softail into a different sort of motorcycle. The useful question is what happens on your own rides: how often you stop, where you park and whether day-to-day manoeuvring or time spent on the road is the greater concern. That gives you a clearer basis for choosing between protection and parking-related accessories.
