Accessories for the Harley-Davidson Softail Low Rider S FXLRS

The Harley-Davidson Softail Low Rider S FXLRS is a custom cruiser at home on a short ride or a weekend away. How you ride it makes a difference to what is worth fitting. Carrying a change of clothes calls for a different approach from commuting through town, while regular runs on winding roads may put the focus on how the bike feels beneath you. This page covers models from 2020 to 2026.

What riders usually fit to the Harley-Davidson Softail Low Rider S FXLRS

There is no single way to equip a Low Rider S. The following accessories address different parts of life with this bike, from parking it in tight spaces to spending a full day on the road:

• Protectors: help shield exposed areas when the bike sees regular use. They are worth considering if your rides combine town streets, frequent stops and open roads, where keeping everyday marks to a minimum matters as much as the look of the bike.
• Suspension: is a natural area to explore if you want the Low Rider S to feel more suited to your riding. It is particularly relevant when your weekends involve winding roads rather than just a relaxed run across town.
• Crash bars and sliders: offer protection at specific points during minor mishaps while manoeuvring or moving the bike at low speed. They can make sense if you often park in a shared garage or have to negotiate a narrow space.
• Luggage: gives you somewhere to put clothes and personal items for an overnight trip, without wearing a rucksack throughout the ride. It is a practical addition when the route on your Low Rider S stretches beyond a single afternoon.
• Lighting: may be of interest if your usual ride home is after dusk or your routes take in unlit roads. Consider how you will use the bike and any rules that apply to fitting the lighting you choose.
• Stands and kickstands: address the less glamorous part of ownership: parking the bike and working around it at home. They are worth a look if you regularly set aside time to clean or check your Low Rider S between rides.

A weekend bike and one used every day need not be set up alike. Start with the rides you actually make, then decide which additions will earn their place on yours.
