Accessories for the Harley-Davidson Softail Street Bob FXBB

The Harley-Davidson Softail Street Bob FXBB brings bobber styling to everyday town rides and leisurely trips along country roads. Choosing accessories means balancing that stripped-back look with how you actually ride. Riding position matters on short journeys as well as longer outings, while wind protection and luggage become more useful when a quick spin turns into a weekend away.

What riders usually fit to the Harley-Davidson Softail Street Bob FXBB

• Screens: worth considering if your rides regularly take you beyond town onto faster roads. A screen helps take some wind pressure off your upper body during longer stretches in the saddle. Its size also determines how much it changes the Street Bob’s bobber appearance.
• Handlebars: a way to tailor your riding position to urban journeys or unhurried days on the road. Think about hand height and reach together: a bar that suits the look you want should also let you sit naturally rather than stretch towards the controls.
• Crash protection and crash bars: offer a measure of protection in a low-speed fall. They make particular sense when regular use involves parking or manoeuvring in confined spaces, although their shape also becomes part of the bike’s overall custom look.
• Panniers: useful for carrying clothes and other essentials when you take the Street Bob away for a weekend. They reduce the need to carry everything on your back, with the trade-off of adding luggage volume to an otherwise pared-back bobber outline.
• Number plate holders: suit riders concentrating on the visual details of a bobber build. The rear-end finish plays a part in that uncluttered style, making the plate holder a relevant choice for a Street Bob used for local outings and relaxed road rides.

When changing the handlebars, consider mirror position too. You should be able to check behind you comfortably from your normal riding position.
