Accessories for the Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special / FLHXS

The Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special / FLHXS is a touring motorcycle built around time on the road. Whether you use yours for long rides or shorter journeys between them, the way you ride shapes which accessories make sense. Comfort over a full day, the feel of the bike when carrying luggage or a passenger, and looking after it while parked are all worth considering.

What riders usually fit to the Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special / FLHXS

• Suspension: longer journeys and changing loads give you good reasons to think about how the bike feels beneath you. If you sometimes ride solo and sometimes travel with a passenger, suspension is an area to consider when tailoring your Street Glide Special to those different rides. Öhlins is among the brands available for this model.
• Covers and blankets: a cover is useful when the bike is parked between trips, particularly if it will be standing for a while. Keeping dust off your Street Glide Special makes sense when you want to return to it ready to plan the next ride.
• Handlebars: your arm position matters more as the miles add up. For riders considering a different riding position, the handlebars are worth a look, whether most days involve a short run or hours spent on the open road.
• Number plate holders: this is an option if you want to change the finish at the rear of the bike. It is a considered detail for a Street Glide Special that still sees regular road use, rather than a change aimed at transforming how it rides.

Accessories listed for this motorcycle cover the years 2014 to 2023. Keep your Street Glide Special / FLHXS's year in mind when choosing a part, alongside the kind of riding you actually do; a bike used every day may call for different priorities from one kept for longer trips.
