Accessories for the Honda CB1000 Hornet

The Honda CB1000 Hornet is a naked bike suited to winding-road weekends as well as everyday trips through town. How you split your riding between those uses helps determine what is worth fitting. Wind protection matters on longer motorway stretches, while comfortable controls and secure foot support come into focus on busy commutes and more involved rides.

What riders usually fit to the Honda CB1000 Hornet

• Screens: useful when reaching your favourite roads means spending time on the motorway. A screen helps redirect airflow away from your upper body, which is particularly relevant on a naked bike. Its shape and height influence the balance between wind protection and a discreet appearance.
• Protectors: worth considering for the exposed areas of a naked such as the Hornet. They can help limit damage from a stationary drop or low-speed fall, making them a practical addition when daily use involves tight parking spaces and manoeuvring in the garage.
• Levers: the shape and reach affect how comfortably your fingers operate the brake and clutch. For a CB1000 Hornet used in stop-start traffic, that repeated contact makes lever ergonomics a more useful consideration than simply matching the finish to other accessories.
• Footpegs: provide support as you shift your body through a sequence of bends. On a Hornet that doubles as weekday transport, the aim is to balance a secure footing for winding roads with a leg position you remain comfortable with during routine journeys.
• Number plate holders: offer a way to give the rear a cleaner appearance, with a noticeable effect on this naked bike’s outline. They suit a styling-focused approach rather than one aimed at reducing wind exposure or changing how you sit and operate the controls.
