Accessories for the Honda CB1000F

The Honda CB1000F suits everyday journeys as well as days spent on winding roads. As a naked road bike, it puts riding position and exposure to the wind high on the list when choosing accessories. Your priorities will depend on whether most of your miles involve city traffic, short weekend outings or longer stretches of open road.

What riders usually fit to the Honda CB1000F

• Screens: A screen helps deflect airflow away from your upper body, which is particularly relevant on a naked bike. For a CB1000F used on longer rides, it makes sense when the route includes sustained stretches on main roads before you reach the twistier sections.
• Protectors: Everyday urban use means plenty of parking and low-speed manoeuvres. Protectors can help limit damage to exposed areas if the bike tips over, making them a practical consideration for a CB1000F that spends as much time negotiating parking spaces as enjoying open roads.
• Handlebars: Hand position affects the angle of your upper body and how comfortable you feel over a full ride. For a naked bike used in traffic and on winding roads, a position that avoids straining your wrists while allowing easy manoeuvring is worth prioritising.
• Suspension: On winding routes, suspension plays a part in how settled the bike feels over uneven tarmac. For a CB1000F used for weekend outings, it also matters whether you tend to ride solo or regularly carry a pillion, since the load changes.
• Covers and blankets: A cover is useful when your riding routine includes several days with the bike parked between outings. If the CB1000F is mainly your weekend road bike, protecting its exposed surfaces while it is not being ridden deserves attention alongside riding accessories.
