Accessories for the Honda CB1000GT

The Honda CB1000GT lends itself to time on the road, whether that means a day out or a longer trip with luggage. Those journeys call for different things from an accessory. Extra carrying space matters when you are staying away from home, while protective parts may be more relevant if the bike sees regular use and frequent stops. Thinking about the journeys you actually make helps you decide which additions will earn their place on your bike, rather than fitting something simply because it is available.

What riders usually fit to the Honda CB1000GT

• Crash protection and guards: these make sense if you ride the CB1000GT regularly and want added protection in the event of a low-speed drop. They may be particularly worth considering when a trip involves repeated stops, parking and manoeuvring with luggage on board.
• Luggage cases: useful for carrying clothes and personal items without wearing a bag throughout a ride. They come into their own on weekends away or longer road trips, when you need room for more than the essentials. They can also help with the practicalities of everyday journeys.
• Protectors: intended for specific areas you would rather keep shielded during normal use. If your CB1000GT covers a mix of town miles and longer stretches of road, these can help look after exposed parts affected by rubbing or minor day-to-day knocks.

If your rides often turn into trips away, luggage may be the priority; for frequent everyday riding, you may put protection first. It is a choice best guided by where and how you use your CB1000GT.
