Accessories for the Honda CB1000R Black Edition

The Honda CB1000R Black Edition is a naked bike suited to winding-road rides as well as everyday journeys. Those two uses put different demands on your setup: repeated clutch work matters in traffic, while wind exposure becomes more noticeable on longer trips. The most useful additions address how you ride, leaving cosmetic changes as a separate part of personalising the bike.

What riders usually fit to the Honda CB1000R Black Edition

• Screens: worth considering when a weekend ride involves motorway links or longer stretches of open road. A screen helps redirect some of the airflow reaching your upper body on a naked bike, with its shape and height influencing the coverage it offers.
• Protectors and crash protection: intended to help limit damage to exposed areas during minor drops or scrapes. They make particular sense on a CB1000R Black Edition used for commuting, where parking, garage manoeuvres and tight urban spaces are part of the daily routine.
• Levers: frequent braking and clutch use in town make the relationship between your fingers and the controls important. Lever shape and reach also matter on winding roads, where you repeatedly move between accelerating, changing gear and braking for the next bend.
• Footrests: provide a platform for your feet when linking corners and influence how you position yourself on the bike. For a mix of weekday riding and longer weekend outings, secure support needs to sit alongside a comfortable leg position.
• Number plate holders: a styling choice for riders who want to change the appearance of the rear end. With less bodywork framing a naked bike, the plate mounting is a noticeable detail; this is about the overall look rather than long-distance comfort.

For mixed commuting and weekend use, controls and protection are sensible starting points. If reaching your favourite roads involves a substantial motorway ride, wind protection deserves more attention than purely visual changes.
