Accessories for the Honda CB1100

With its classic naked styling, the Honda CB1100 suits everyday journeys as well as relaxed weekends on country roads. Useful additions support that mix: less wind pressure on longer outings, comfortable controls in town and protection against low-speed mishaps. The aim is to make the bike work for your riding without losing the understated character that makes this style appealing.

What riders usually fit to the Honda CB1100

• Screens: a screen helps take some wind pressure off your upper body once you leave town. For a CB1100 used on longer road rides, it is a practical way to make exposed stretches less tiring while retaining the feel of a naked bike.
• Levers: frequent clutch and brake use in stop-start traffic makes lever shape and reach worth considering. For commuting on the CB1100, comfortable operation matters more than a racing look, while the finish can complement the classic appearance of the controls.
• Protection: protectors help limit damage to the areas they cover in a stationary drop or low-speed fall. They are a sensible addition for daily use involving regular parking manoeuvres, rather than something reserved for bikes ridden on a track.
• Handlebars and footrests: these influence where your hands and feet sit. If your CB1100 spends its weekends exploring country roads, focus on preserving a relaxed riding position instead of introducing a more tucked-in stance that does not suit those outings.
• Phone mounts: keeping navigation in view is useful when a weekend ride takes you beyond familiar roads. A mount also saves retrieving your phone at every stop on an unfamiliar urban journey; set your destination before moving off.

Start with what you notice on your usual rides: wind exposure, awkward controls or an uncomfortable position. A few focused changes can serve the CB1100 better than a complete makeover.
