Accessories for the Honda CB1300SB

The Honda CB1300SB is a road-going bike with a roadster character, well suited to everyday journeys and longer rides alike. Those two uses place different demands on it: wind becomes more noticeable when you spend hours on faster roads, while parking and slow manoeuvres are part of daily life. Thinking about where and how you ride helps narrow down which accessories will make a practical difference to your CB1300SB.

What riders usually fit to the Honda CB1300SB

• Protectors: worth considering if your rides involve busy streets, tight parking spaces or regular stops. They are intended to help look after exposed parts of the bike in the event of a scrape while parking or a low-speed drop.
• Screens: useful for managing the airflow around the rider on open roads. The effect is likely to matter most on a longer outing, when sitting at road speed for an extended stretch feels quite different from a short hop across town.
• Stands and side stands: make sense for parking arrangements and routine jobs at home, including cleaning and checking the chain. If the CB1300SB is used frequently, having a suitable way to support it can make those small tasks less awkward.
• Handlebars: allow you to think about where your hands sit during a ride. A position that feels right on a quick commute may not feel the same after a full day on winding roads, so this is a particularly personal choice.
• Covers and blankets: useful when the bike spends time parked between outings. A cover helps shield it from everyday dust, whether you keep it in a garage or have to leave it in a different spot from one day to the next.

Start with the journeys you actually make most often. That will tell you whether wind management, parking protection or the way the bike feels over a long ride deserves your attention first.
