Accessories for HONDA CBF500

Honda CBF500 accessories for commuting and weekend rides

The Honda CBF500 is a naked road bike suited to everyday commuting and weekend outings. Choosing useful accessories starts with the balance between those two jobs. Short trips through town put the emphasis on easy manoeuvring and carrying everyday essentials, while longer journeys bring wind exposure and riding position into sharper focus. A few practical additions can support the way you actually use your CBF500.

What riders usually fit to the Honda CBF500

• Screens: worth considering when your commute includes faster roads or your weekend route starts with a motorway stretch. On a naked bike such as the CBF500, a screen helps redirect airflow away from your upper body, making wind protection a more useful priority for longer journeys than brief urban hops.
• Crash protection: a sensible addition for a CBF500 used every day, especially when that means regular manoeuvring in garages and parking spaces. Protectors can help reduce damage in some low-speed falls, although they should not be treated as protection against every impact.
• Handlebars: the reach to the bars matters when the same bike handles rush-hour traffic and hours on country roads. For this kind of mixed use, a natural arm position helps you avoid feeling stretched during a longer ride while remaining comfortable for town manoeuvres.
• Mirrors: on an urban commuter, a useful rearward view matters more than appearance alone. For your CBF500, aim for a view that is not dominated by your arms, particularly if your daily route involves frequent lane changes and busy junctions.
• Luggage: useful when your CBF500 carries work essentials during the week and belongings for a weekend away. Being able to carry those items on the bike rather than in a backpack becomes particularly welcome when a short commute gives way to a longer day out.
