Accessories for the Honda CBF500 ABS

The Honda CBF500 ABS is a road-going naked bike suited to weekday commuting and weekend rides. Accessories are most useful when they reflect that mix: some wind protection for longer stretches, a comfortable riding position for everyday journeys and protection against minor mishaps when parking. How much time you spend in town or on open roads helps set those priorities.

What riders usually fit to the Honda CBF500 ABS

• Screens: with a naked riding position, wind pressure becomes more noticeable on sustained faster journeys. A screen can redirect some airflow away from your torso, making it a worthwhile addition to the CBF500 ABS if your commute includes motorway miles or your weekend rides take you further afield.
• Protectors: these can help reduce damage to the areas they cover during a stationary drop or low-speed fall. They make practical sense on a daily-use CBF500 ABS, particularly when your routine involves frequent parking stops and manoeuvring in confined spaces.
• Handlebars: your bar position influences the reach to the controls and how you hold your upper body. For a CBF500 ABS used in traffic and on winding roads, a relaxed reach helps keep the riding position comfortable without forcing you to stretch forwards.
• Mirrors: a useful rearward view matters when a town commute joins faster roads. For that kind of riding on the CBF500 ABS, keeping approaching traffic in view during lane changes is a stronger reason to choose mirrors than appearance alone.
• Number plate holders: these change the appearance of the rear end, a noticeable detail on an uncluttered naked bike. They suit riders looking to personalise the CBF500 ABS visually, rather than address the wind exposure or everyday protection covered by other accessories.

For a CBF500 ABS that handles both the journey to work and longer leisure rides, balance wind protection and riding position before focusing on cosmetic changes.
