Accessories for the Honda CMX500 Rebel

The Honda CMX500 Rebel is a cruiser suited to everyday journeys and relaxed rides out of town. How you use yours helps decide what to fit: a screen becomes useful on longer road rides, controls deserve attention on a city commute, and luggage makes a weekend away easier to organise without carrying everything on your back.

What riders usually fit to the Honda CMX500 Rebel

• Screens: a screen helps deflect airflow away from your upper body on open roads. It is a useful addition when your Rebel spends as much time on longer countryside rides as it does crossing town.
• Levers: commuting involves frequent clutch and brake use at junctions, traffic lights and in queues. Lever shape and reach matter for a Rebel used this way, where repeated inputs are part of almost every journey.
• Footrests: steady foot support is part of settling into a relaxed cruiser ride. The shape and contact surface of the footrests contribute to how comfortable your feet feel during an afternoon on country roads.
• Crash protection and engine bars: these help limit damage from a stationary drop or a low-speed mishap. They make practical sense for an everyday Rebel facing regular parking manoeuvres and tight turns in confined spaces.
• Luggage cases: carrying your belongings on the bike rather than in a rucksack is useful for both work journeys and weekends away. For the Rebel, luggage can turn a simple day-ride setup into something more practical for an overnight stop.

Rebel versions and choosing your model year

The Rebel has changed over the years, and the 2017-2019, 2020-2024 and 2025-2026 versions do not all take the same parts. Screens, mirrors and levers are examples of accessories that can differ between versions rather than fitting every year. Choose your bike's year on this page so that only the parts that fit yours are shown.
