Accessories for HONDA CRF1000L AFRICA TWIN ADVENTURE SPORTS

Accessories for the Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin Adventure Sports

The Africa Twin Adventure Sports is an adventure bike suited to long road journeys and routes that venture onto unpaved tracks. That mix puts wind protection, luggage and protection for the bike high on the list. Time spent on motorways, riding standing up or travelling with a pillion will shape which accessories earn their place on your bike.

What riders usually fit to the Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin Adventure Sports

• Protectors: on trips that include rough tracks, these help limit damage from knocks and low-speed falls. They make particular sense when you are a long way from your overnight stop and a minor mishap could interrupt the rest of the journey.
• Screens: wind protection becomes a priority during motorway stretches and full days on the road. Screen height and shape affect the airflow reaching you, while routes that mix tarmac and tracks also call for a clear view of the ground ahead.
• Panniers: carrying clothing and travel essentials is easier with dedicated luggage, especially on multi-day trips with a pillion. For this kind of adventure riding, plan around the route: what you need for a road tour may differ from what you want to carry along narrower tracks.
• Footpegs: a suitable platform for your boots matters when you switch between seated road riding and standing on unpaved sections. This is a useful area to focus on if your routes regularly require you to move around on the bike rather than stay seated.
• Phone mounts: navigation is particularly useful on touring days involving unfamiliar mountain roads, detours and overnight stops. Positioning matters on an adventure bike: the phone should leave the instruments visible and stay clear of your movements when standing, with directions checked only when safe.

For road-focused touring, address wind protection and luggage first. If tracks feature regularly in your plans, give protection and secure footing greater priority.
