Accessories for the Honda CRF150R

The Honda CRF150R is a motocross bike built for riding off road. On a motocross track, braking into a corner and keeping the bike settled over bumps can matter as much as what happens when you open the throttle. That makes brakes and suspension particularly relevant when considering accessories for a 2007 CRF150R. Rather than treating them as unrelated parts of the bike, it helps to think about how they work through a lap: slowing down, picking a line and carrying on over uneven ground.

What riders usually fit to the Honda CRF150R

• Brakes: Corners on dirt often call for measured braking while the surface beneath the tyres is changing. Being able to judge your braking on the approach lets you set your speed before turning, rather than trying to correct it halfway through. If your riding involves repeated hard approaches to tight sections, the brakes are a useful place to focus on the feel of your CRF150R. Braking is one of the accessory brands listed for this model.
• Suspension: Ruts, bumps and landings all ask the bike to respond while you shift your position to keep it on line. Suspension plays a part in how the CRF150R feels over those obstacles and as you settle it for the next corner. It is worth considering alongside braking if your usual track has rough sections between turns. Öhlins is among the accessory brands available for this Honda.

On a motocross lap, braking and suspension rarely work in isolation. Thinking about the section of track you find most demanding can help you decide which of these areas deserves your attention first.
