Accessories for the Honda CRF450L

The Honda CRF450L is an enduro-oriented bike suited to rides that take in both tracks and roads. That mix shapes what is worth fitting. The demands of a narrow trail are different from those of riding in traffic, and stopping on uneven ground brings another consideration altogether. Mirrors, protection and ways to support the bike each have a role at a different point in the ride. It makes sense to start with the terrain you encounter most often rather than treating every outing as purely off-road.

What riders usually fit to the Honda CRF450L

• Mirrors: when a ride moves from a track onto the road, knowing what is behind you matters as you join traffic and travel alongside other vehicles. Mirrors are just as relevant if you use the CRF450L for shorter everyday journeys between off-road outings. They help you keep an eye on your surroundings without turning every glance behind into a change of riding position.
• Protectors: branches, loose stones and slow manoeuvres are familiar parts of riding on tracks. Protection makes sense for the areas it is designed to cover when the route becomes tighter or rougher. If your rides combine open roads with sections where obstacles are close to the bike, protectors address the off-road side of that mix without defining how you must use it.
• Stands and side stands: a stop beside a trail is not always on level, firm ground. How you support the bike matters during breaks, while a stand can also be useful when cleaning off dirt after a ride. Consider this category if your routine includes stopping away from tarmac or giving the bike some attention between outings.

For mixed road and trail riding, consider which situations come up most often: sharing the road with traffic, negotiating obstacles or parking and cleaning the bike after a dusty day.
