Accessories for the Honda NC700S

The Honda NC700S is a practical naked bike suited to daily commuting and relaxed weekend rides. For that mix, wind protection, a comfortable riding position and protection during low-speed manoeuvres are useful priorities. Whether you spend most of your time on town streets or cover longer stretches of open road helps determine which additions deserve attention first.

What riders usually fit to the Honda NC700S

• Screens: a screen helps redirect airflow away from your upper body on the naked NC700S. It becomes particularly useful when the commute involves dual carriageways, or when a short weekend outing turns into a longer ride with more time spent exposed to the wind.
• Crash protection: daily parking, tight turns and pushing the bike into a confined space all make low-speed protection worth considering. Crash bungs and bars can help limit damage to particular areas in a minor fall, making them a practical addition for regular town use.
• Handlebars: bar shape affects your reach to the grips and the angle of your wrists. For an NC700S used in traffic during the week and on country roads at weekends, a relaxed arm position matters more than adopting a stretched-out stance for appearance alone.
• Levers: frequent braking in stop-start traffic makes the feel of the controls especially noticeable. Lever shape and reach influence how your fingers sit against them, so this contact point deserves attention when setting up an NC700S for repeated journeys across town.
• Phone mounts: navigation is useful when your riding combines unfamiliar urban routes with weekends exploring quieter roads. A mount keeps directions in view; set the route before moving off and position the phone so it leaves the instruments visible and the controls easy to reach.
