Accessories for the Honda NX250

The Honda NX250 is a trail bike suited to road riding and easier tracks. That mix gives you different priorities during a single ride: filtering through town calls for a different kind of control from riding beyond the tarmac. It is worth thinking about the parts you use to steer and slow the bike, as well as how you look after it between outings. This page brings together accessories for the NX250 from 1988 to 1993, so you can focus on what matters for the journeys you actually make.

What riders usually fit to the Honda NX250

• Brakes: a ride that moves from road to track asks you to judge braking on different surfaces. Brake components are worth considering when getting an NX250 ready for regular mixed-surface use. Braking is among the accessory brands listed for this bike. Think about where you spend most of your riding time: a mainly paved commute and an occasional ride on an unmade track put the emphasis in different places.
• Handlebars: your hands are a constant point of contact, whether you are turning through town or guiding the bike along a track. Handlebar accessories can help you tailor that contact point to the way you sit and steer. On the NX250, a bike used in more than one setting, your position at low speeds can matter just as much as how you feel on an open road.
• Covers and blankets: care for the bike does not end when a ride finishes. A cover can be useful if your NX250 is parked for a while between trips, while other items in this category address protection needs associated with different riding habits. Tucano Urbano is another brand listed for this model. Where you leave the bike and how often you take it out will help you decide which kind of protection is useful.

Start with the routes you ride most often. Town streets, paved roads and straightforward tracks place different demands on an NX250, and that makes a more useful starting point than adding accessories for their own sake.
