Accessories for HONDA VFR1200F

Honda VFR1200F accessories for touring and weekend rides

The Honda VFR1200F brings together two sides of sports touring: enjoying a winding road and covering distance on a longer trip. Accessories should reflect the balance between those uses. Wind protection matters on motorway stretches, luggage earns its place on nights away, and comfortable contact points deserve attention when a short ride becomes a full day in the saddle.

What riders usually fit to the Honda VFR1200F

• Screens: a useful priority for a VFR1200F that regularly covers long motorway sections before reaching quieter roads. Think about wind coverage in relation to your height and normal riding position, particularly if sustained exposure to the airflow is a concern on longer journeys.
• Luggage: makes room for overnight essentials without carrying everything on your back. Two-up touring puts different demands on storage from a solo Sunday ride, so the length of your trips and whether a pillion joins you should guide how much carrying space you need.
• Levers: worth considering for comfort at the controls when your riding mixes town traffic, open roads and repeated bends. On a distance-focused VFR1200F, how a lever feels with your usual riding gloves matters more than treating it simply as a styling detail.
• Footrests: influence the way you support yourself on the bike. The VFR1200F's sports-touring role calls for a balance between secure foot placement on twisting roads and a comfortable leg position for the longer stretches between them.
• Protectors and crash protection: can help limit scuffs or damage from a fall, depending on the part and the area it covers. They are worth considering for touring use, where manoeuvring with luggage in unfamiliar parking areas becomes part of the journey.

Plan around the whole ride, including the motorway miles and overnight stops. How far you travel and how often you carry a pillion will help set your priorities.
