Accessories for the Honda XRV650 Africa Twin

The Honda XRV650 Africa Twin is an adventure bike suited to travelling on roads and riding unsurfaced tracks. Those different settings put different demands on your riding position and the way you use the controls. A long day on tarmac may draw your attention to comfort, while a rougher section can make the position of your hands and feet feel more significant. It is worth thinking about how you actually ride yours before deciding which area to focus on.

What riders usually fit to the Honda XRV650 Africa Twin

The accessories available here concentrate on three parts of the riding experience: braking, steering input and foot support. Each matters on the road, but their role can feel different when you leave the tarmac or spend several hours in the saddle.

• Brakes: on a route that moves between paved roads and tracks, being able to judge and modulate braking matters. Brake components address that part of riding the Africa Twin, whether you are slowing for a bend on a touring day or adjusting your pace before an uneven section.
• Handlebars: where your hands sit affects your posture over a long road journey and the way you position yourself when standing on the pegs. Handlebar accessories are particularly relevant if your rides involve both seated miles and stretches where you stand to negotiate the terrain.
• Footpegs: they support your feet while seated and become a more prominent point of contact when you stand on a track. On the XRV650 Africa Twin, it makes sense to consider that support in relation to your usual mix of road riding and unpaved routes, rather than treating it as a purely visual detail.

For mixed routes, start with the part of the ride that demands the most from you. That will help you decide whether brakes, hand position or foot support deserves your attention first.
