Accessories for the Husqvarna Svartpilen 801

The Husqvarna Svartpilen 801 is a naked bike suited to urban journeys and outings on winding roads. That mix puts the emphasis on where you meet the bike: the controls and footpegs need to feel comfortable through stop-start traffic as well as a series of bends. For longer days away from town, managing wind exposure becomes another useful priority.

What riders usually fit to the Husqvarna Svartpilen 801

• Levers: regular clutch and brake use in traffic makes lever shape and reach particularly relevant to commuting on the Svartpilen 801. A comfortable relationship between grip and lever helps you operate the controls without an awkward stretch, including with your everyday riding gloves.
• Footpegs and handlebars: these contact points shape your riding position on a naked bike. For a mixture of town work and twisting roads, focus on secure footing and a hand position that lets you keep your arms relaxed rather than braced.
• Mirrors: a clear rearward view matters when your daily route involves busy streets and frequent lane changes. Mirror placement should leave you seeing more than your own arms, while the overall width is worth considering for manoeuvring into tight parking spaces.
• Crash protection and bars: daily parking and low-speed manoeuvres make protection a practical addition to this bike. These accessories can help limit damage in a stationary drop or a low-speed fall, although they cannot prevent every part from being affected.
• Screens: open-road miles expose you to more sustained airflow than short urban trips. A screen helps divert some of that air away from your upper body, making it a relevant addition when weekend rides take you further afield.

For town-focused use, prioritise comfortable controls and protection against parking mishaps. If most of your riding is on longer road routes, give riding position and wind protection more weight.
