Accessories for the Husqvarna TE300

The Husqvarna TE300 is an enduro bike built for riding away from tarmac. On a day spent negotiating ruts, stones and narrow trails, the accessories worth fitting are shaped by the terrain and by how you ride. Protection matters when the bike is exposed to knocks, while lever feel becomes important when you are repeatedly working the controls through slower sections. A screen has a different role: it is worth considering if getting to the trail involves more open riding. Thinking about the balance of those sections helps you decide what deserves attention on your TE300.

What riders usually fit to the Husqvarna TE300

• Protectors: riding off-road can bring exposed parts of the bike close to rocks, branches and the ground. Protectors help shield those areas from contact. They make particular sense if your routes take you through tight passages or over uneven surfaces where a foot down does not always keep the bike clear of obstacles.
• Levers: on technical trails, you use the brake and clutch frequently to manage speed and maintain control. Levers are part of that connection with the bike, whether you are seated or standing on the pegs. They are therefore a relevant consideration for rides with repeated turns, climbs and low-speed manoeuvres.
• Screens: a TE300 may spend most of its time on trails, but some rides also include open tracks or road sections between riding areas. A screen can take some of the wind off you during those links. It is most relevant if those stretches are a regular part of your day rather than a brief journey to the start of a trail.

For this enduro bike, the most useful choice depends on the riding you actually do: threading through obstacles, covering exposed links or combining both in one outing. Start with the parts that address the sections you encounter most often.
