Accessories for the Hyosung GV125 Aquila

The Hyosung GV125 Aquila is a 125 cc custom bike suited to unhurried rides, whether you are crossing town or heading out onto the road. Those two settings place different demands on the bike. Wind protection can make an open-road journey more pleasant, while protective accessories come into their own when you are moving the bike around at low speed. What is worth fitting depends on where you spend your time riding and parking.

What riders usually fit to the Hyosung GV125 Aquila

For the Aquila, screens and protectors address two familiar parts of riding: time spent exposed to the wind and the everyday business of parking, setting off and negotiating tighter spaces.

• Screens: a screen can deflect some of the airflow that reaches you on the road. That is worth considering on a custom bike used for relaxed outings, particularly when a short ride turns into several miles on more open routes. It can also be useful if your regular journey takes you through town before joining faster roads, where the effect of the wind becomes more noticeable.
• Protectors: these add a measure of protection for parts of the bike against minor knocks or scrapes. On an Aquila used for commuting or errands, that can matter when you are wheeling it into a parking space or manoeuvring in a crowded area. They serve a different purpose from a screen: they are about the moments around a ride as much as the ride itself.

A screen addresses what you feel while riding; protectors are aimed more at the small risks that come with handling and parking the bike. Think about which of those situations features most often in your journeys when deciding what to fit.
