Accessories for the Indian FTR 1200 R Carbon

Winding roads are a natural setting for the Indian FTR 1200 R Carbon, a sporty naked bike that also suits everyday riding. Choosing accessories means balancing those weekend rides with the demands of traffic and longer stretches of open road. Your contact points, protection and wind exposure are useful starting points, rather than changing the bike's appearance alone.

What riders usually fit to the Indian FTR 1200 R Carbon

• Levers: regular clutch and brake use in town makes the feel of the controls worth considering. On weekend rides, that same contact matters when approaching bends. Lever shape affects where your fingers sit and how comfortable repeated operation feels.
• Protectors and crash bobbins: a practical choice for a naked bike used for both commuting and recreational riding. They can help limit damage to the areas they cover in a fall, including the low-speed spills that can happen during parking manoeuvres.
• Footrests: secure boot support matters when moving through a series of bends. Their shape and contact surface influence how your feet settle on the bike, while longer days in the saddle make support comfort and leg position equally relevant.
• Screens: worth considering if reaching your favourite roads involves motorway miles. A screen can redirect some airflow away from your torso on a naked bike, making those connecting stretches less tiring without turning a road-focused setup into a touring project.
• Number plate holders: these suit owners who want to change the rear-end appearance of their FTR. They are primarily a styling choice, so riders focused on everyday usefulness may prefer to address their controls, foot support and protection first.

Let the least comfortable part of your usual ride guide the priorities. Frequent town use puts the emphasis on controls and protection; longer road journeys give wind management and riding posture more weight.
