Accessories for the Indian FTR Rally

The Indian FTR Rally brings scrambler-inspired styling to a naked bike suited to town riding and outings on winding roads. Those uses call for different priorities: frequent work at the controls in traffic, comfortable contact points through bends and some relief from the wind on faster stretches. Accessories can address those needs without making touring the focus of the bike.

What riders usually fit to the Indian FTR Rally

• Screens: A screen earns its place when reaching your favourite roads involves a motorway run. By diverting some airflow away from your upper body, it addresses the wind exposure of a naked bike rather than simply changing the Rally’s appearance.
• Protectors and crash protection: Daily parking and low-speed manoeuvres make protection worth considering on an urban FTR Rally. These accessories help limit damage to the areas they cover in a fall, although they cannot prevent every mark or protect the whole motorcycle.
• Levers: Stop-start riding keeps your clutch and brake hands busy, while winding roads place their own demands on control feel. Replacement levers let you change this direct point of contact with the Rally, giving them a practical role beyond a visual refresh.
• Footpegs: Your feet form part of your riding position when linking bends, not just somewhere to rest between stops. Footpegs deserve attention on a Rally used for longer road outings, where sustained contact matters more than on a short trip across town.
• Number plate holders: This is primarily a styling choice for the rear of the bike, an area that stands out on a distinctive naked. It suits a rider personalising the Rally’s outline rather than someone whose main aim is greater comfort over distance.

For mostly urban riding, controls and protection are sensible starting points. When your regular routes include longer stretches at higher speeds, a screen tackles a more noticeable source of discomfort.
