Accessories for the Indian FTR Sport

The Indian FTR Sport is a naked bike with flat-track styling, suited to winding-road outings as well as everyday journeys. That mix makes riding position, control feel and wind exposure useful starting points when choosing accessories. A bike used mainly in town calls for different priorities from one that regularly covers motorway miles on the way to quieter roads.

What riders usually fit to the Indian FTR Sport

• Screens: a useful addition when reaching your favourite bends involves a stretch of motorway. A screen helps deflect some of the airflow around the rider, making wind management a practical consideration for longer days on this naked bike.
• Levers: frequent clutch and brake use in traffic puts the focus on how comfortably your fingers reach the controls. For an FTR Sport that handles both commuting and weekend rides, lever shape and reach matter beyond their appearance.
• Footrests and handlebars: these define key contact points and influence your riding position. On a bike used for weekday journeys and spirited road rides, the aim is to balance comfortable arm and leg placement with room to move through bends.
• Protectors and crash protection: worth considering for daily use, particularly when parking spaces are tight or low-speed manoeuvres are frequent. They can help limit damage to the areas they cover in a fall, although no protection can prevent every kind of damage.
• Number plate holders: an option for changing the rear-end appearance to complement the FTR Sport’s sporty naked style. This is primarily a visual choice, rather than a way to address the wind exposure or riding position that can matter on longer journeys.

For mostly urban riding, controls and protection are sensible priorities. If your weekends involve longer runs to winding roads, give more thought to a screen and the way the bike fits you.
