Accessories for KAWASAKI ER-5 TWISTER

Kawasaki ER-5 Twister accessories for everyday riding

The Kawasaki ER-5 Twister is a naked bike suited to commuting and weekend road rides. Those two uses call for slightly different priorities: protection and comfortable controls matter in stop-start traffic, while a screen becomes more useful when your journey includes longer stretches of open road.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki ER-5 Twister

• Screens: a useful addition if your commute takes you beyond town or you regularly head out for longer rides. On a naked bike such as the ER-5, a screen helps deflect airflow away from your upper body.
• Protection: everyday parking and low-speed manoeuvres make protection worth considering on a commuter ER-5. Protective parts can help limit damage in a stationary drop; the area they cover matters more for this job than their appearance.
• Levers: frequent braking and clutch use in town put the focus on how the controls feel in your hands. For daily ER-5 riding, comfortable finger placement and a manageable reach are more useful priorities than styling alone.
• Handlebars: worth considering when tailoring your riding position for a mixture of town journeys and winding roads. Where your hands sit affects your arm and wrist position, so everyday comfort should remain central to any change.
• Mirrors: keeping track of traffic behind you matters on busy commutes, particularly when changing lanes. If your ER-5 is your regular ride to work, a useful rearward view deserves priority over a purely cosmetic change.

Choosing parts for your ER-5 Twister's year

The Kawasaki ER-5 Twister has changed over the years, and the 1997-2003, 2004-2005 and 2006 versions do not always take the same accessories. Parts such as levers, handlebars and protection are not interchangeable across every version. Choose your bike's year on this page to see only the accessories that fit yours.
