Accessories for the Kawasaki KLX250

The Kawasaki KLX250 is a trail bike suited to days that mix smaller roads with tracks. That mix shapes what is worth fitting: the way the bike feels on tarmac matters, but so does its response when the surface becomes uneven. On a ride that takes you from bends on the road to loose ground, braking and suspension deserve particular attention. They affect the parts of the journey where you need to slow down or keep the bike settled, rather than simply changing its appearance.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki KLX250

For this model, the available accessory types focus on how the bike behaves as the route changes. Think about the ground you encounter most often, and about which part of the ride you would most like to refine:

• Brakes: a KLX250 used on both roads and tracks has to slow down on very different surfaces. Brake accessories are relevant when you are considering the feel and response you want for that mixed riding. Braking is among the accessory brands available for this bike. A winding road and the approach to a loose section of track put different demands on your braking.
• Suspension: on rutted or bumpy tracks, the bike’s response to uneven ground becomes especially noticeable, including when you stand on the pegs. Suspension accessories give you another area to consider if your rides regularly leave smooth tarmac behind. Öhlins is also represented among the brands available for the KLX250; the road sections between tracks remain part of the picture too.

Whether your usual outing is mostly on minor roads or includes long stretches of unpaved riding, it helps to start with the moments when the bike’s behaviour matters most to you. Here, that means looking closely at braking and suspension rather than adding equipment unrelated to your route.
