Accessories for the Kawasaki Versys 1000 S

The Kawasaki Versys 1000 S is a road-focused adventure touring motorcycle, well suited to weekend routes and longer trips. Spending hours on the road puts wind protection, practical luggage and riding comfort high on the list of useful accessories. Carrying a pillion makes luggage organisation more important, while everyday riding brings control comfort and protection during low-speed manoeuvres into sharper focus.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki Versys 1000 S

• Screens: Long motorway stretches make airflow around your upper body particularly noticeable. A screen helps manage that exposure on the Versys, with the balance between coverage and a clear view of the road depending on your normal seated riding position.
• Panniers: For a few nights away, dedicated luggage gives clothing and travel essentials a place without keeping a rucksack on your shoulders all day. On two-up tours, packing into panniers also helps leave the pillion's seating space clear.
• Protectors: Touring involves more than riding between destinations. Manoeuvring with luggage or parking outside overnight accommodation can lead to a stationary drop. Protectors help limit damage to the areas they cover, making them a practical consideration for a travel-focused adventure bike.
• Levers: A route that mixes winding roads, villages and town traffic involves frequent use of the controls. Lever shape and reach affect how your fingers sit on the brake and clutch, something that matters when a day's riding runs into several hours.
• Footrests: On long, seated road journeys, your feet provide an important part of your support on the bike. Footrest position and surface contribute to leg comfort and a natural riding posture, rather than being merely a styling detail.
