Accessories for the Kawasaki Versys 1000 SE

The Kawasaki Versys 1000 SE is a road-focused adventure tourer, suited to long-distance trips as well as days on winding roads. Motorway stretches, luggage and a pillion all shape what is worth fitting. For this kind of riding, wind protection, carrying capacity and comfort over a full day matter more than adding accessories simply for a different look.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki Versys 1000 SE

• Screens: Long motorway sections make wind protection a useful priority on the Versys. A screen helps reduce exposure to the airflow, so consider the coverage you want around your upper body and helmet while keeping a clear, comfortable view of the road.
• Panniers: Multi-day touring calls for space beyond what you need on a Sunday ride, particularly with a pillion. Panniers carry your overnight luggage, while thoughtful packing keeps items needed at fuel stops separate from things you will only unpack at your accommodation.
• Protectors: Parking and turning around deserve extra care when travelling with luggage and a passenger. Protectors are intended to help limit damage to the areas they cover in a stationary drop, a practical consideration when a touring route takes you far from home.
• Levers: Touring gloves and repeated braking on twisty roads make lever shape worth considering. A natural contact point for your fingers matters on a day that starts with town traffic, continues through bends and finishes with a longer run to your next stop.
• Foot pegs: Foot support plays a part in comfort when hours in the saddle mix winding sections with motorway miles. For regular two-up trips, it is worth considering the passenger’s comfort alongside your own riding position rather than focusing solely on the rider.
