Accessories for the Kawasaki Versys-X 300

The Kawasaki Versys-X 300 is an adventure bike suited to everyday commuting, road trips and exploring easy trails. Those different uses call for different priorities: carrying your daily essentials matters around town, while wind protection becomes more relevant on longer journeys. If your routes also take you away from tarmac, protective accessories and the way you sit or stand on the bike deserve attention too.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki Versys-X 300

• Screens: help divert airflow during road sections, particularly when a weekend ride involves longer stretches on faster roads. For the Versys-X 300, think about how much of your journey is spent at cruising speed and how your riding position affects your exposure to the wind.
• Protectors: are intended to limit the effects of minor knocks or falls on the areas they cover. They make sense when exploring gentle trails, but their usefulness is not confined to off-road riding: manoeuvring a loaded bike or parking in tight urban spaces also brings risks.
• Luggage: gives you somewhere to carry overnight essentials without keeping everything in a rucksack. It can be just as useful for the weekday commute. If you tour on your Versys-X 300 with a pillion, planning how to carry both riders’ belongings becomes a bigger consideration.
• Handlebars: influence your reach to the controls and the position of your arms and back. On an adventure bike used for both commuting and longer trips, it is worth considering comfort during slow manoeuvres as well as when holding one riding position for miles.
• Footpegs: provide support during long road rides and when shifting your stance on easy trails. They deserve consideration if you regularly combine the two, rather than setting the bike up solely around a seated position for your daily journey.

Let your regular riding guide the priorities: everyday carrying needs for commuting, or luggage, wind protection and riding position for trips that last several days.
